The structure and operating principle of the product are very simple:

The rope (3) is reeled on the spool (4). When the towrope is reeled off, the spool rotates and loads the coil spring (5). The potential energy of the loaded coil spring accrued in the reel-off of the towrope prevents the towrope from slackening thus avoiding its contact with the road.

• Basic characteristics:
  The self-retracting towrope is a disc of bright orange colour manufactured of the Korean material ABS SW750 - Impact-resistant (this material is used to make builders' protective helmets) with the diameter of 120 mm and two strap ends, which is reeled on to the inner shaft as a measuring tape if tension decreases. Due to this the rope is continuously kept horizontally, it does not slacken and get under the wheels.
  Rope length is 4.3 m, weight 1.2 kg. Tensile strength is 3.5 t.
